Is your website optimised so that the sentiment of the language is correct for your target audience? Do you want to look beyond the surface of job application letters to see the real person behind the one presented in the letter? Are they analytical or intuitive, numerically or verbally oriented, extroverted or introverted? And did you know that a brochure with highly concrete language will be remembered better than one with highly abstract language?
This is just a small handful of the kinds of issues to which text analytics is ideally suited. Other examples are discussed in the other sections of this blog.
The point is that significant insights can be gained from text beyond the surface or ‘semantic’ meaning and my speciality is extracting the data behind the text to generate such insights.
